This can cause damage to the soft tissues under that area which support the foot. This posture also transfers an undesirable amount of pressure on the lower back where the lower vertebrae of the back can become compressed and the muscles of the lower back are made to contract. This could lead to excruciating pain over time. Wearing high heels for prologoned periods of time also puts additional pressure on the knees which can increase the risk of joint degredation. To counter balance those risk, doctores recommend that you limit the daily hours during which you wear high heels and save them for special occasions. You should also do regular stretching exercises where you stand with your toes on a step and let your foot heel drop down as far as possible.
